No Joke, millions of players are trying to be the next "star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more famous "charming players" of poker. Granted "nice" is associated with their names when you are at a poker table it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have removed you out of the competition!
Daniel Negreanu
In Two Thousand and Four, his tourney winnings amounted to more than $4.4 million and he attained two highly admired awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In Feb Two Thousand and Six he was named Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. He even still has the humility to speak with his admirers about how they could improve their own game.
Howard Lederer
Referred to as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His accomplishments have allowed him to make an educational poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of Two Thousand and Five, his complete life time earnings surpass $2.7 million.
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty is 1 of the most active players in poker and between 2000 to 2004 he finished in the money in well over one hundred competitions. He is notorious for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker games and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad loss. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are just about six million dollars.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has won five World Series of Poker titles with two of his successes happening in 2003. Chris has the nickname "Jesus" as a result of his trademark long hair and beard, that, and along with his ability to throw cards quick enough to slice through pickles and bananas. As of 2005 his total poker tourney winnings exceeded 5 million dollars.
