• Hold’em Poker – Net Type Card Rooms In Traditional Gambling Halls – Like Betting onTexas Holdem on the Internet

Have you seen the new PokerPro texas hold’em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about a couple of weeks back when I took a brief getaway with my mom to the WinStar Gambling house in Oklahoma.

As I anxiously waited for my name to be acknowledged at the live tables, I watched how the other men and women at the PokerPro tables relate with each other. It was fairly fascinating to say the very least. Because the poker table was computer powered, there were no poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stagnant. Maybe I was the only one that spotted this, but I did notice the players on the table had a lifeless high quality to them. The reason for this may possibly be because there was no human conversation with the croupier, the ambiance was rather boring and the players looked bored. It was almost as if I was looking at a live version of an online holdem poker room rather than being seated with hot blooded humans. It was a tiny bit bizarre and I continued to have flash backs to an episode of The Next Generation and the holodeck broke down.

Since the waiting time for the stay tables was over an hour, I made the decision to observe how the game play was and to experience this new hold’em poker gaming technology. Following playing a couple of hands, I truly felt like I was playing at house. The lack of activity at the table was the primary reason. I prefer to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are feasible at these electronic tables.

Another thing I noticed was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a great deal of hands on the PokerPro table and discovered that the play was a lot like an internet based holdem poker website. That might have been just a coincidence, except I found it to be incredibly odd.

After betting a couple of rounds with this "new hold em poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables have been not for me. I’m much better off wagering hold em poker online at residence and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den were to receive rid of the live poker tables, I think they’d shed a whole lot of players.
