I have been betting poker now for about 5 years, I’ve played cards my entire life starting with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various types of Brag and general random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so gracefully called, card on head game. I used to always win, whatever game we were wagering and even though I liked to call it skill, it was quite hard to justify thinking about the randomness of the games we were betting, so I was over joyed to accept I was having an extended run of good fortune.
Then came Poker, or more importantly Texas hold’em Poker, made famous by a bunch of Texas card players in the sixties and since developed into one of the biggest card phenomena ever experienced. Poker is totally the new black, it’s ultra awesome with quite a few of the world’s leading superstars racing to have their name connected with it. Just a quick flick through the TV channels these days and it is possible to not escape from poker, and needless to say there is the fabled World Series of Poker, the Holy Grail and Mecca all rolled into one for each single player.
So with all of this new discovered recognition, with so a lot of Tv shows devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves filled up with quality material written by the foremost minds on poker, when are individuals going to understand that this casino game is all about position!?
Perhaps I must not have so worked up about this, after all the far more individuals who have difficulty with the subtle techniques and strategies needed for succeeding regularly at Texas hold em, the far better it can be for everyone else, right? I mean, if they cannot be bothered to look at all of the offered facts about why location is so essential, why need to we bother? We should just be happy there is another fish at the table!
It’s true, we ought to not encourage laziness with guidance and assist. Even so, I liken this to a friendly game of football.
