Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the wild west in an awesome game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the house, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete with other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, new players don’t need to fret about other, more advanced gamblers winning their moolla.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game pace, beginners can take their time and scheme while not having to make quick choices.

It’s also simpler to gamble on for a long time with only a small bit of cash seeing as, to lose, each of your hands needs to be under both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the house gets seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
